About Jane's Work on Hats and Fascinators
The Jane Sharville Collection is aimed at women who want a striking and beautiful crowning glory to accompany and complement what they wear to formal and special occasions.
Each creation is completely individual and all are handmade using traditional millinery skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a wide range of materials – from the enduring classic to the terrifically exotic.
Many clients have stated that they require something very simple and plain, where as others have requested that they would like to make a statement. These varying requests can be fully accommodated by the free consultation where I can really discover what they like and wish to wear. The consultation includes colour matching, choice of materials and styling preferences to suit individual needs. I have found that these consultations relieve anxieties when clients are thinking about their special day. Expectations then run high and the outcomes have always exceeded the client’s original expectations. As a result I have a portfolio of many recommendations and letters of thanks.
After an individual consultation, clients are then advised of the time it may take to create their chosen piece. This can range from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, depending on the time required to create it, and the urgency of the client’s special occasion. I recommend therefore that potential clients make contact as early as possible to allow me to complete in good time for the occasion.
I also have an individually styled collection of ready made Hats and Fascinators to view at my premises in Worthing, West Sussex; clients can buy any of these, if the colour, size and style are suitable. Alternative options to these styles can also be created.
My pricing is based on the materials required and the time required to make it. A small fascinator may cost as little as £20 to £30, whereas a large exotic hat may cost £300 to £400. A top estimate price would be given at time of the consultation with no commitment until an order has been placed, and then a small deposit is required.
